Speaking Engagements & Advocacy

Fareham Borough Council – White Ribbon Campaign Presentation
As part of the national White Ribbon campaign to end male violence against women, I presented to Fareham Borough Council to share the reality of street harassment faced by women runners in our local area. I spoke on behalf of my club and our lived experience over the past 11 years.

“We’re not asking for special treatment — just the ability to run without fear, judgement, or harassment.”

Panelist – Women’s Health & Safety Discussion
I contributed to a panel on women’s health and public safety, sharing lived experiences and practical strategies for change. The discussion focused on what communities and institutions can do to create safer spaces for women to move freely and confidently.

Delegate – WiSEAN Conference (Leeds)
I attended the Women in Sport & Exercise Academic Network conference in Leeds, connecting with researchers, policy-makers and fellow practitioners working to close the gender data gap in sport. This was a powerful opportunity to learn, contribute, and be part of the push for policy-level change in how women’s sport is researched and supported.
