A Hilly and Hot Half at the weekend

Three RV members ran the Casterbridge Half Marathon at the weekend, it was a beautiful course in the Dorset countryside with many rolling hills. It was organised by White Star running and I have to say it was one of the friendliest runs I've ever run.  The support along the way was second to none, cheers, clapping and encouragement, lots of water stations and the spraying of water after the last hill was most welcome.  The marathon and half finishes ran the last few miles in together (well the marathons guys passed us by) and the words of encouragement from all runners whatever the distance was heart warming.  One that I would definately do again next year

We celebrated a RV member's birthday on Saturday by running Lee on Solent parkrun and having tea and cake afterwards.  It was another busy parkrun but very blustery on the run back to the finish line.
