The latest graduates of September's Beginner's Course complete their 1st Parkrun

It was a spooky park run on Saturday with 40 RunVerity runners coming along to support the latest graduates from the September 8 week beginner's course. It was bizarre watching a mixture of ghosts, skeletons and witches running along the seafront at Lee on the Solent.  The route had changed this week but it didn't dampen any enthusiasm and after the GSR the week before there was a high proportion of PB's achieved.  We all went for a cup of tea at Leon's afterwards, the walk was a lot longer but it was worth it for the homemade cakes.

There were a couple of conversations overheard as we sat in the warmth

"8 weeks ago I could not run for 1 minute without dying, now here I am, up early on a Saturday morning running 3 miles with only a little bit of walking"  "Best thing I ever did was sign up to the beginner's course"
